From Son to Father

“I'm writing today about my blue Pelagos, but really, I'm writing about my father. The Pelagos is a tool through and through with enough pizzazz to feel fun and rebellious. The Pelagos has always felt a bit defiant standing in the shadow of Rolex and even the greater Tudor lineup. Unconcerned and determined to complete the job at hand, this Pelagos is the perfect comparison to my father.

I originally bought the watch new as a 32nd birthday present to myself. Little did I know my Pelagos would soon become my most meaningful watch. In addition to my birthday it commemorated a new job and opportunity to provide better got my family. Also, very sadly, it is the last Christmas present I was able to give to my father.

He wore it as he I hospiced him at home with my brother, mother, wife, and future sister in law. Its a gift I knew I'd get back but one I didn't want back so soon as he passed on Jan 10th at 0428 hrs. I take comfort in watching it tick and I can't think of a better reminder of my father.
